Surgical Specialists of Charlotte is seeking an Advanced Care Practitioner to join our program. The position is primarily based at Novant Health's Presbyterian Medical Center working with an existing care team of Physicians and ACPs.
The position will be responsible for support all acute care general surgery and trauma care needs at this facility. Working collaboratively with the Physicians, the ACP covers all emergency department and in-house general surgery consults, as well as acute trauma at a level III trauma center. The position is primarily hospital-based.

Typical duties include:
-Daily rounds, surgical consults, and patient admissions & discharges
-Responding to trauma codes in the emergency department
-Operative first-assisting
-Clinic duties consisting of one 2-hour office session per week for follow up/post-op care

Prior experience in general surgery, trauma, emergency care, wound care, bedside procedures, and post-operative rounding is required. The schedule for this position will vary but includes days, nights and weekends. ACP typically works 14 shifts per month but may fluctuate based on business needs.

We are seeking a licensed PA/NP with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in general surgery, trauma, emergency care, wound care, bedside procedures, and/or post-operative rounding required. 

EPIC and NextGen experience preferred.
