Key Requirements

• Successful candidates will have a minimum of ten years of related experience in water distribution, public services, utilities, construction, or engineering. Successful candidates will have an S-2 Water Operator License, serve as the Township’s water operator in charge and have a CDL Class B State of Michigan Drivers License. If employee does not have these certifications, employee must obtain these certifications prior to being elevated to the Maintenance Lead Position. Prior to receiving these certifications employee would hold the classification of DPS Maintenance II (which has a lower wage schedule.
• Union position. Hourly Rate - $31.31 to start ($33.15 (after 12 months), $34.07 (after 24 months), $35.00 (after 36 months) and $36.83 (at 48 months). These wages are prior to any increases negotiated within the collective bargaining agreement. Full benefit package includes health, optical, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation, sick, and personal time, and a defined benefit retirement program (pension).
