Job Purpose

Our Grande Prairie Branch is looking for a Field Service Mechanic who specializes in Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts and Telehandlers. This is a full-time position for a Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician who thrives in a team environment and takes pride in quality work. This position is Monday to Friday.

What you will do...

• Follow a consistent and regular schedule of maintenance on equipment such as Aerial lifts, Scissor Lifts, Telehandlers, Skid Steers, Forklifts, & Excavators at various job sites.
• Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.
• Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services.
• Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment.
• Must be able to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment.
• Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
• Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

• Journeyman Off Road Certification/HET Red Seal in Heavy Duty.
• Must have at least 3-years' hands on experience repairing Aerial equipment.
• Ability to work constructively under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates initiative and strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude.
• Ability to be on-call every other week.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• A clean and recent driving record will be requested.

Pay Range: $46.00 - $50.00 per hour
