Cadet Rate: $22.00 per hour while attending the Police Academy

DEADLINE FOR ACCEPTANCE: Wednesday, March 25, 2026, by 11:59 PM.
A Physical Agility Test will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM or Monday, March 30,
2026 at 9:00 AM at the Shaler Area Titan Stadium located at: 1800 Mt. Royal Boulevard, Glenshaw,
PA 15116. The Written Examination will follow immediately after on both days, and only for the
applicants that successfully pass the Physical Agility Test, at the Shaler Township Municipal Building
located at: 300 Wetzel Road, Glenshaw, PA 15116.
Other mandatory components of the testing process are an oral examination, a background check, a
medical examination, a psychological examination, and a polygraph examination.
The Shaler Township Civil Service Rules and Regulations are available to view at the Township
Building 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
