Position Summary
The Village of Beverly Hills is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals for Seasonal Laborer positions within the Public Works Department. This role supports day-to-day municipal operations including maintenance of streets, grounds, parks, facilities, and public infrastructure. Seasonal Laborers work primarily outdoors and play an important role in maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of the Village.
Essential Duties
Assist with maintenance of streets, sidewalks, parks, and rights-of-way
Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, leaf removal, and cleanup
Assist with storm response activities
Operate hand tools and light equipment
Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
Assist with mechanic duties
Follow all safety rules and procedures
Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid Michigan driver’s license
Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in public works, construction, landscaping, or maintenance
Experience using hand tools or light equipment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
Outdoor work in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions
Schedule
Seasonal position, typically spring through fall
Monday–Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed
