Job Summary:
As the Trauma Program Manager for our Level 1 Trauma Program, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of trauma care delivery. This role demands a leader with a strong clinical background, exceptional managerial skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for the enhancement and growth of the trauma program in alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the trauma care team, ensuring collaboration, effective communication and adherence to best practices in trauma care.
- Drive initiatives to maintain and improve the quality of trauma care services, regularly evaluating protocols, procedures and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, including but not limited to state, federal and accreditation agency requirements.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including staffing, equipment and supplies, to support efficient and effective trauma care delivery.
- Develop and implement educational programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in trauma care.
- Foster collaborations with other departments, healthcare providers, community organizations and stakeholders to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Analyze data related to trauma care, identifying trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance patient care and safety.
- Serve as an advocate for trauma patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and promoting a patient-centered care approach.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years of professional clinical experience, including three (3) years at a supervisory level, is required.
Education:
A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred as an advanced practice provider. Graduate from either an accredited school of nursing, an accredited nurse practitioner program, or an accredited physician assistant program.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current New York State Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or MD license; current BLS and ACLS certification.

- Strong understanding of quality care protocols, improvement methodologies and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team effectively.
- Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of data to drive quality improvement initiatives.
- The ability to develop and execute strategic plans for program development and enhancement.
