Position Description
The dump truck driver is responsible for performing duties related to Paving/Construction operation, and the safe and responsible operation of all applicable machinery and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety rules and perform all job duties in a safe manner.
- Work effectively with other crew members and communicate clearly and efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong perceptual skills to monitor and respond to complex driving situations, including the ability to:
- Exercise sound judgment and make quick decisions when necessary
- Control an oversized steering wheel
- Shift gears using a manual transmission
- Maneuver the truck safely in crowded or confined areas
- Ability to load under an asphalt plant and safely back up to a paver to dump materials
- Immediately report any equipment damage, safety hazards, or accidents to the foreman.
- Consistently lift and/or push or pull up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Maintain flexibility with work schedules, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
Position Requirements
- 3-5 years of prior industry experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Must have a valid Class B CDL license and clean driving record.
- Must possess sound judgment, and ability to analyze MSDS sheets.
- Must be professional, courteous and maintain their vehicle in a manner that positively reflects on the company
- Other duties as assigned.

Employee may sit for an hour or more at a time.
Independent Action:
Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Foreman where clarification or exception to procedure may be required.
