Job Responsibilities:
Join a high-volume, hospital-based general surgery practice that provides comprehensive care for both elective and emergency general surgery patients.
Manage a wide spectrum of general surgical conditions, with emphasis on minimally invasive approaches to abdominal, hernia, biliary, GI, and acute care surgery.
Participate in an emergency general surgery service, including shared call coverage, with access to advanced technology and subspecialty support.
Maintain an active elective surgical practice in alignment with the surgeon’s clinical interests and expertise.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncology, gastroenterology, and critical care, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
Participate in the education of medical students and general surgery residents in the operating room, clinic, and didactic settings.
Contribute to institutional quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based surgical practices.

Requirements
Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school; successful completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Advanced GI, or comparable training is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in laparoscopic and/or robotic surgical techniques, particularly in acute care and elective general surgery.
At least 5 years post-training experience.
Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.
Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a commitment to high-quality surgical care.
Demonstrated interest in academic surgery, teaching, and clinical excellence within a collaborative team environment.
