Arizona Advanced Surgery (AAS) is looking for a Trauma Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our high-performing Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery team at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ - a designated Arizona Level I Trauma Center and one of the busiest hospitals in the state. Located right off the US-60 and Loop 101, Banner Desert is easily accessible from anywhere in the Valley, making it an ideal base for APPs who want both professional challenge and convenience. You’ll serve a diverse East Valley community and make a real difference in the lives of patients and families during their most critical moments.

Position Highlights
Deliver advanced care to patients with acute injuries, surgical emergencies, and critical illness Perform and assist in procedures such as wound repairs, chest tube placement, bronchoscopies, and line placements Participate in trauma resuscitations, admissions, consults, ICU and ward rounds, and surgical assists Collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team across ICU, trauma, and emergency settings Opportunities for supplemental shifts within the trauma team and across other AAS service lines
Qualifications
Current Arizona PA or NP license (Acute Care NP preferred for NPs) ATLS, ACLS, and PALS (or obtained shortly after hire) Prior trauma, ICU, or surgical experience strongly preferred Confidence, adaptability, and a passion for high-acuity, team-based care
