Senior Vehicle Controls Integration Engineer w/Zoox Inc. (Foster City, CA)
Improve and align supplier firmware test strategies, overall test plans, and test coverage reports with Zoox stakeholders. Identify and create additional test cases, as needed. Develop test cases based on Zoox's internal knowledge of robot behavior, use cases, and past issue resolutions. Collaborate with suppliers to adapt test plans, balancing risks from firmware changes and regression to meet project goals. Document supplier test plans, coverage assessments, and defect impacts using standard processes. Analyze firmware and hard interaction to identify and address integration issues. Provide regular progress updates and defect impact analyses to cross-functional teams. Approve supplier firmware readiness for the next phase of verification and integration. Work with HIL systems and debugging tools, CANalyzer and Python scripts. International and domestic travel required, 2-3 times per year.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Requires 6 years of experience in a Test or related engineer position working with verification, and validation within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Experience must include: implementing various test methodologies and creating HIL test assets and environment; analyzing firmware and hard interaction to identify and address integration issues; creating and analyzing hardware-in-the-loop testing environments; creating test cases and reviewing supplier test plans; and working with HIL systems and debugging tools, CANalyzer and Python scripts.
