The Beach Cart Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service to guests while preparing and selling snacks and beverages from a beach cart. This role is fast-paced and guest-facing, requiring a positive attitude, attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work independently in an outdoor environment.
Essential Duties:
Confirms beverage cart is fully operational before starting shift.
Stocks and cleans beverage cart throughout the day.
Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper beach etiquette.
Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
Serves food and beverage items to guests while on the beach.
Responds to customer questions regarding the general information of the property.
Utilizes Point of Sales system and creates daily sales reports.
Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to the Director of Food and Beverage and managment.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions, in extreme heat and in areas near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in high precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, near toxic or caustic chemicals and in extreme cold (non-weather). Occasionally risks electrical shock. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver's License Required
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Meets state age requirements for driving an off-road vehicle
Working knowledge of POS system.
Attention to cleanliness and safety.
Patience and customer-oriented approach.
Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
Responsible and trustworthy.
Self-motivated and works well with little direction/supervision.
