Chief Physician with professorial rank within the Internal Medicine Service (IMS) Department of Medicine (DM)

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland
The Internal Medicine Service (IMS) is responsible for the diagnosis and care of patients with complex multimorbidity and comprises 182 inpatient beds, including 16 certified intermediate care beds. The Service is distinguished by its commitment to clinical research, notably in population cohorts and quality-of-care research. It offers a dynamic interprofessional and multidisciplinary environment within a university-level Internal Medicine Service.
Main missions:
Ensure clinical excellence and fulfill care-delivery responsibilities.
Provide undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education in internal medicine.
Initiate, lead and supervise research projects in the field of internal medicine supported by competitive funding.
Actively participate in the management of the Internal Medicine Service.

Desired profile:
Swiss medical degree (or equivalent title recognized by MEBEKO) and MD or MD-PhD.
ISFM specialist title in general/internal medicine (or equivalent title recognized by MEBEKO).
Extensive clinical experience in hospital-based internal medicine.
Strong management skills in team leadership and project management, acquired in university and non-university hospitals.
Professorial-level academic knowledge with a proven track record in university teaching.
Ability to develop clinical research programs funded by competitively awarded grants.
Good knowledge of French (native speaker or C1 level preferred) or ability to acquire it quickly.
