Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Pulmonary team in an outpatient-only setting. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care in partnership with our Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians, supporting continuity of care for patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient care for pulmonary patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic respiratory conditions
Collaborate closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians to manage shared patient panels
Conduct follow-up visits, medication management, and care plan adjustments
Coordinate care across specialties, including referrals, testing, and procedures
Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and preventive care
Review diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, imaging, and lab results
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Practice Details
100% outpatient pulmonary clinic
No inpatient responsibilities
Work alongside a collaborative team of Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians
Established patient base with strong referral network
Supportive clinical and administrative staff
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Board certified (or eligible)
Active or eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa
Experience in pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine preferred, but not required
Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Schedule & Work Environment
Full-time, weekday schedule
No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
