Celebration Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Institute is seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Trauma Surgeon to join our Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma, emergency surgery, and critical care, and be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide surgical and non-surgical care for patients with traumatic injuries Participate in emergency general surgery call rotation Perform life-saving procedures in high-acuity situations Collaborate with specialists in critical care, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine Participate in trauma quality improvement programs and registry activities Contribute to resident and medical student education (if academic center) Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery preferred Current Florida medical license ATLS certification (Instructor certification preferred) Strong clinical and communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience:
Minimum 2 years post-fellowship experience in trauma or acute care surgery Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center Familiarity with trauma registries, ACS verification processes, and quality improvement practices Work Schedule:
Rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Shared trauma call coverage Benefits:
