In a rural town, a dealership is more than just a place to buy a truck—it’s a pillar of the community. Our customers aren't just "leads"; they’re our neighbors, our coaches, and our friends.
We are looking for a Fixed Operations Director who understands that reputation is everything. You’ll be the heartbeat of our Service and Parts departments, ensuring our shop runs like a well-oiled machine while maintaining the high level of trust our customers expect. If you’re a high-level strategist who isn’t afraid to walk the shop floor and shake hands with a long-time customer, you’ll fit right in.
As the Fixed Ops Director, you are the conductor of the orchestra. Your goal is to balance peak efficiency with top-tier customer care.
Lead & Mentor: Oversee the Service and Parts Managers to ensure cohesive operations. We have a dedicated team of technicians; your job is to keep them motivated, trained, and productive.
Drive Profitability: Manage P&L for the Service and Parts departments. You’ll be responsible for achieving "100% Service Absorption"—meaning your departments cover the dealership’s entire overhead.
Customer Experience (CSI): Monitor and maintain high CSI scores. In a rural area, word travels fast. You’ll ensure every vehicle leaves the shop fixed right the first time.
Inventory & Workflow: Optimize parts inventory turns and shop workflow. You’ll identify bottlenecks and implement common-sense solutions to get our neighbors back on the road faster.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure the shop stays compliant with all state, federal, and manufacturer regulations.
Experience: At least 5+ years of automotive management experience (Fixed Ops Director or Service Manager). Familiarity with GM and Stellantis is a huge plus.
The "Rural" Edge: You understand the pace of life in rural Kentucky. You value a firm handshake and honest communication.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with DMS systems and a keen eye for data analytics.
Leadership: You lead by example, not by memo. You’re a problem-solver who stays calm when the shop gets busy.
Education: High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
