Company Overview

Seacamp is a non-profit organization offering a unique marine science/SCUBA residential camp for teenagers 12-17 and a marine science day camp for youth 10-13 during the summer. During the fall and spring Seacamp hosts various schools groups, of many different ages, from all over the United States. Established in 1966, it is located near the most extensive coral reef in the continental United States in the middle of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Seacamp offers courses in marine science, SCUBA diving, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, and arts & crafts. Through the use of its’ surrounding environment, Seacamp aims to educate children about marine science and ocean conservation. Seacamp’s core philosophy is “For all the sea has to teach us and all the fun in learning it”.

Company History

Seacamp Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. It was established in 1966 for the purpose of providing facilities and programs for a marine science camp for teenagers in the Florida Keys. In 1970, Seacamp Association, Inc expanded into a year-round program to include Newfound Harbor Marine Institute (NHMI). It is also a marine science and environmental facility and hosts numerous groups- public and private schools, colleges, and adult workshops from September through May each year.

Benefits

Seacamp provides room and board located at our facility in the beautiful Florida Keys. Waterfront Lifeguarding and CPR training are provided each season. During the summer, for certified divers, Seacamp provides NAUI Skin Diver Instructor and Professional Rescue Diver training. Staff also has access to time off boat use.
