Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and on-the-job training to individuals in 1:1 and group settings at community-based businesses, RTR OPTS centers, and supported employment sites.
- Assist individuals in developing work skills, community participation, and daily living skills as outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
- Collaborate with Case Managers and Program Directors to establish and implement employment, behavioral, and personal development objectives.
- Complete monthly progress notes, assessments, ISPs, behavioral data, and other documentation in accordance with state, agency, and funding requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between RTR, families, referral agencies, and host companies, representing the agency with professionalism and a proactive attitude.
- Implement behavioral plans and interventions as assigned, which may include the use of physical restraints in accordance with - Safety Care training and agency policies.
- Provide functional skills training and job support in a variety of community-based and residential settings.
- Support individuals with medical, social, and recreational appointments and activities, ensuring safety and engagement in community life.
- Provide transportation for individuals to host companies, appointments, and community-based activities as required.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including hygiene, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, and mobility or mechanical transfers.
- Maintain program environments, residences, and agency vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Participate in remote or virtual service delivery as assigned, following preplanned or newly developed curricula to support individuals’ goals.
- Attend all required staff meetings, in-service trainings, and agency-mandated certifications (e.g., Safety Care, Positive Behavior Support, Medication Administration).
- Provide coaching and mentorship to new staff as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain professional dress and conduct in accordance with agency and host company standards.
- Adhere to all RTR policies, procedures, safety standards, and established communication protocols.
- Demonstrate a collaborative, courteous, and empathetic approach in all interactions with individuals served, coworkers, families, and partner organizations.
- Perform additional duties or provide coverage across other programs as required by agency needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
- Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
- Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
