We are seeking an experienced, board-certified (or residency-trained) Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join our rapidly expanding integrated veterinary healthcare system in Puerto Rico. PRVet is an integrated veterinary community that combines:
- Small animal general practice
- Urgent care and emergency services
- Specialty oncology
- Collaborative multidisciplinary medicine

- Internal Medicine

Position Overview
We are looking for a collaborative and experienced internist who is passionate about:
- Advanced diagnostics and case management
- Building long-term referral relationships
- Mentorship and team collaboration
- Elevating specialty veterinary medicine in Puerto Rico
You will work alongside:
- Emergency and urgent care clinicians
- General practitioners
- Boarded Veterinary oncology specialist
- A growing specialty referral team
This position offers the opportunity to develop a strong referral caseload with significant growth potential in an underserved specialty market.
Requirements
Required:
- DACVIM (SAIM) board certification
- Eligibility for veterinary licensure in Puerto Rico
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to high-quality, compassionate medicine
Preferred:
- 3+ years specialty practice experience
- Interest in practice development and mentorship
- Experience working in collaborative specialty settings
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish
Residency-trained candidates nearing board completion may also be considered.
