The Opportunity
SAMGI is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a collaborative orthopedic trauma program in Mesa, Arizona. This position supports a high-acuity trauma center and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a well-supported, hospital-based environment.
Schedule
- 183 shifts annually (24-hour shifts)
- Blocked scheduling with 7 day stretches
- Built-in recovery time between rotations
Job Duties
- Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
- Participate in trauma call coverage at a high-volume trauma center
- Manage complex fracture care, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
- Collaborate with trauma, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
- Balance operative cases with inpatient care and follow-up clinic responsibilities

Full and per-diem opportunities in both Mesa and Tucson, Arizona.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma
- Experience managing high-acuity trauma cases, including pelvic and acetabular fractures preferred
- Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
