Deaconess Health System is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeons to join our growing orthopedic programs in Evansville, Indiana and Henderson, Kentucky.
Whether you're an orthopedic surgeon looking for a 50/50 trauma and general orthopedic practice or a high-volume general orthopedic opportunity, Deaconess offers established referral networks, dedicated OR access, strong clinical support and the resources of a large integrated health system.

50% Trauma / 50% General Orthopedics
Evansville, Indiana
Deaconess Specialty Physicians is seeking a full-time orthopedic surgeon interested in a unique combination of orthopedic trauma and general orthopedics.
Practice model:
- 50% General Orthopedics – Henderson, KY
- 50% Orthopedic Trauma – Evansville, IN
- 72 trauma surgeon shifts annually, approximately 6 shifts per month
- Trauma coverage at Deaconess Midtown, a Level II Trauma Center, as well as Deaconess Gateway and Deaconess Henderson
- 1:4 call coverage
- Fully integrated Epic EMR for inpatient and outpatient care
Compensation:
- $850,000 guaranteed salary for the first 12 months
- $65,000 sign-on bonus
- Competitive productivity-based compensation beginning after Year 2

General Orthopedic Surgery
Henderson, Kentucky
Join an established orthopedic practice with strong referral support and significant regional demand. This opportunity is designed for a general orthopedic surgeon who wants to build a high-volume practice with dedicated operating room access and substantial earning potential.
Practice highlights:
- Established referral network across a large regional service area
- Immediate opportunity to build a high-volume practice
- Established orthopedic walk-in clinic staffed by experienced APPs
- Dedicated OR block time at a nearby acute-care hospital
- Manageable call schedule
- Support from rehabilitation services, urgent orthopedic care and primary care
- Opportunity to participate in a partially physician-owned ambulatory surgery center
- Established orthopedic team and APP support
Compensation:
- $800,000 guaranteed salary for the first year
- Productivity-based compensation with potential to exceed $1 million
- $50,000 sign-on bonus
- J-1 visa sponsorship available
The Henderson orthopedic clinic is located at 736 N. Elm Street and currently includes orthopedic surgeons, APPs and a hand surgery specialist.
