Established in 1993 and headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Inter-Commerce Express provides long-haul and heavy-duty transportation services to Etna, their vendors and contractors, and many other customers in similar industries. While flatbed is our specialty, we also offer dry van, reefer, or any other modes of service depending on our customers' needs. Ready to haul anywhere in the lower 48, we maintain our own fleet of modern classic sleeper trucks as well as numerous configurations of custom-built, multi-axle trailers.
Inter-Commerce Express is hiring an experienced OTR CDL-A Truck Driver for regional, and sometimes nationwide, long-haul deliveries. This position will require frequent overnight travel and includes securing, tarping, transporting, and occasionally loading/unloading materials.
Driver Expectations:
- Provide customers, vendors, and contractors with a professional, positive experience.
- Operate safely, efficiently, and with courtesy to others on the road.
- Secure, tarp, and if needed, assist with loading/unloading materials.
- Respectfully adhere to all contractors' PPE requirements on job sites.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and trip records.
- Perform required pre- and post-trip DOT inspections/DVIRs.
- Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Work hard and be flexible to get the job done we will always compensate you fairly for it.
What You'll Need:
- Valid CDL-A license and acceptable driving record.
- Current DOT medical card.
- At least 3 years of multi-axle driving experience.
- Flatbed experience preferred.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass required substance-abuse screening.
- Willingness to travel overnight and work a flexible schedule up to and including being out for the whole week.
